I was born in Oslo, Norway, in 1960 and lived there until 1996. I then spent 14 years in Spain before settling in Lofoten in 2012, where I continue to live and work.
Over the years, I've taken part in several longer creative residencies across North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe — primarily in France since 2022.
My work draws inspiration from nature's symmetry, the interplay of colour, and storytelling. I work mainly in watercolour and oil on canvas. All my symmetries are hand-drawn using traditional tools like compass and ruler. I also create hand-cut mosaics that reflect my interest in nature's patterns.
